this is bullshit, I cannot believe someone ever tried to make this a comparison - it has no legitimacy and the CONTEXT is entirely different; a fact that should be obvious, but clearly isn’t.

she’s a visitor, she’s in their fucking country, of course they’re gonna look at her like she’s a spectacle, they have the right to stare down whoever comes into their space (especially since people that look like her have had a history of terrorizing people that look like them) and oh yeah, she’s a fucking child that has hopped on a plane and gets to see different cultures, which means her privilege already wins by a landslide. whereas the white people infiltrated on african territory to make someone’s malnourishment the light of their “safari”.
